Pauses aren´t always good:
Did the people around you, that you snore a lot while you sleep? If this happened to you, then you may be suffering from a sleep disorder characterized by some pauses in your breathing, or shallow breathing. These characteristics are categorized as: Sleep Apnea.
Sleep apnea may be causing you more problems in your daily day life than you may have ever imagined.
Sleep apnea may be diagnosed by your doctor by the evaluation of symptoms; some of them are risk factors and observation, for example,excessive daytime sleepiness and fatigue. This fatigue comes because of the bad sleep reached at night. At every apnea, you ´forget to breathe´, with this pause, you are interrupting your sleep, lightly waking up, and falling asleep back again. This process, is obviously bad, because your brain receives a really low quantity (really inadequate) of oxygen supply!
The treatment consists in:
1- Weight loss
2- Correction of the nasal passages: this treatment will require surgery.
3-Continuous positive airway pressure
4- Quitting smoking.
5- Avoiding alcohol
6- Treating allergies and other sinus problems
